Who are you and what do you do? Does anybody really care?

The answer is maybe. When we meet potential clients or business partners, it’s natural to wonder if this might be a profitable encounter. But what if they’re obnoxious? Or aren’t paying attention? Or only talk about themselves? Do we really want to do business with these people?

By all means, it’s crucial to communicate to others what you do. But keep in mind the best connections are built by more than your clever tagline. Interest in others, passion about your work, and honest explanations build long-term clients. The bonus is when these are people you actually enjoy working with.
